Greetings and welcome!

 

As the 2024-2026 Basileus of the Delta Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., it is both an honor and a privilege to celebrate our chapter’s 50th anniversary—a milestone reflecting five decades of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Since our chartering on January 26, 1974, in Plainfield, NJ, the Delta Kappa Sigma Chapter has been a beacon of dedication, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals across Union, Middlesex, and Somerset Counties.

Our journey over these 50 years has been fueled by the unwavering commitment of those who came before us, pioneering women who established the foundation upon which we proudly stand today. With each decade, our chapter has expanded its influence, standing as a testament to the power of our national programs and partnerships. Through initiatives like the Youth Symposium, Operation Big Bookbag, and collaborations with St. Jude’s and the March of Dimes, we embody our shared commitment to upliftment, education, and wellness. Together with our Philos and Rhoers, we extend Sigma’s reach, enhancing quality of life for the communities we serve.

As we celebrate this rich legacy, we also look forward with pride, knowing that we carry a responsibility to lead our chapter into a future just as impactful as our past. This administration is dedicated to continuing the path paved by our predecessors, fostering growth, and strengthening our bonds. Our focus is on nurturing and retaining our current members, while welcoming new sisters who share in our vision of unity, service, and sisterhood.

We stand on the shoulders of giants, and we remain steadfast in our mission, looking ahead to the next 50 years of service. As we celebrate this momentous anniversary, let us honor the past, cherish the present, and look forward to a future filled with purpose, passion, and progress.
